MY name is Bessie "Church Doll." Dolls similar to me were commonly fashioned by mothers from their best embroidered hanky or dad's large hanky to quiet their little girls during church service. If dropped, no sound was heard. Cloth stuffed head, hanky body, lace edges, and pink ribbon. No two can be exactly alike since each one has a hand drawn face. App. Size 15" X 8" Handkerchief and lace size and style will vary. With or Without a Face. Handkerchief style will vary.  Card color will  also vary. Only first letter will be capital letter. Embroidery does not look good with all caps.
